Curator or user-submitted Comments:
The frmRAB operon is negatively regulated by frmR, is induced by formaldehyde, and probably degrades formaldehyde. An amber suppressor allows readthrough of frmR, adding 7 aa, which inactivates FrmR, causing stimulation of frmRAB transcription. frmR and rcnR are paralogs.
