Abasic site:C binding
Proteome Chips: Mismatch Binding
Chen (2008) identified the top 20 proteins that preferentially bind to dsDNA containing an abasic site (N) unpaired to a C, called probe 6. Probe 1 is the same 19-mer with a G:C instead of the C-N.
The ratio of the preferential probe 6 binding ranges from 15.1 fold for YbaZ to 1.8 fold for GcvA. Dgt is ranked second at 7.1 fold.
Only 19 proteins are linked to this subTopic. The protein identified as "exeC" might be GspC.
